Implant care built around you
Single-tooth implants
Discuss replacing a missing tooth with an implant and a custom crown. We consider the surrounding teeth, gums and your bite when planning the restoration.
Full-arch & full-mouth care
For multiple missing teeth, ask about implant-supported restorations, including All-on-X. The number and position of implants depend on your examination and treatment plan.
Additional treatment planning
Ask about bone grafting, sinus lift assessment, extraction and immediate implant placement. These options require an individual evaluation and are not suitable for every patient.

Planning through restoration
Technology with a purpose
3D assessment
CBCT imaging helps the dentist assess bone and nearby anatomy when planning implant placement. Digital oral scans provide information for the planned restoration.
Digital planning
Digital design connects the proposed implant position with the shape and bite of the replacement teeth. We explain the proposed approach at your consultation.
In-house dental lab
Our clinicians and dental technicians can coordinate restorative design and fabrication on site, with 5-axis milling equipment supporting the lab workflow.
Inside Sungshim Dental
See the planning behind your implant treatment
These demonstrations from our implant center show how the proposed implant position, replacement teeth and smile design can be considered together. Dr. Jisu Kim uses the relevant examination and imaging findings to discuss a plan for your mouth; a digital preview illustrates a proposal and does not guarantee a treatment result.
1. Implant position and angle
2. Plan the replacement teeth
3. Discuss a smile preview
The original demonstrations may contain Korean on-screen labels; the English captions above explain their purpose. For your next questions, explore cost and consultation, full-arch treatment options or ongoing implant care.
What to expect
From consultation to follow-up
- Talk about your needs. Review your dental and medical history, current concerns and goals with the team.
- Understand the plan. After an examination and any appropriate imaging, discuss treatment options, alternatives, estimated costs and timing.
- Treatment and healing. Your plan may involve preparatory care, implant placement and a healing period before the final restoration.
- Restoration and maintenance. The team evaluates the fit and bite of your implant restoration and explains ongoing care and follow-up visits.
Treatment sequence and timing vary. A consultation is needed to determine which options fit your oral health.

See how your dentist and in-house lab work together
Sungshim Dental’s implant care is supported by equipment and people in our Honolulu office: 3D CBCT imaging, digital oral scanners, an on-site dental technician and two five-axis milling units. These resources connect the clinical plan with the replacement teeth that are being designed.
A clinical plan led by your dentist
Dr. Jisu Kim has experience across implant procedures, including bone grafting, sinus surgery and full-arch care. Your consultation considers your current teeth, anatomy, goals and treatment options.
Digital design you can discuss
Our implant center demonstrates implant position planning and full-mouth restorative design. These visuals help explain how the proposed implant locations relate to the planned teeth; a simulation is not a guarantee of the final result.
Communication close to home
The dentist and on-site technician can discuss restoration shape, shade and bite directly. Patients can discuss their care in English or Korean at our Kalihi office on the second floor of Palama Supermarket.

Dental implant questions
How much do dental implants cost in Honolulu?
Your estimate depends on the number of teeth being replaced, the restoration and any additional treatment. Contact Sungshim Dental for an examination and an individualized estimate. Ask what is included in the proposed plan.
Can I have an implant placed immediately after extraction?
Immediate placement may be considered for selected cases. Your dentist needs to evaluate the site and overall treatment plan before recommending it. Same-day final teeth are not promised.
Do you offer Korean-speaking implant consultations?
Yes. Our team offers English and Korean consultations in Honolulu. 하와이 성심치과병원 임플란트센터 한국어 안내 includes more information about the clinic and equipment.
Can you evaluate an implant placed by another dentist?
Please call with your concern and bring available implant records, X-rays and details about the original treatment. The dentist will assess whether care can be provided here or whether a referral is needed.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Bring your medication list, relevant dental records, insurance information and questions about treatment. Our team can explain the appointment process when you call.
How do I learn more about implants?
The American Dental Association’s patient guide to implants explains the basics. Your own treatment options should be discussed with your dentist.
